Bhumi has recently completed her BSc (Honors) in Chemistry from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi and is now headed to the University of Oxford to pursue a Masters of Research in Chemistry. Her research interest is on emerging photovoltaic materials particularly perovskite-inspired materials and how their structure and interfaces influence device performance. She has completed research internships at the University of Cambridge (infrared spectroscopy for drug-like molecules) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru (phosphor materials for solid-state lighting). Her long-term goal is to contribute to the commercialization of solar energy technologies. A debater, cricketer, and writer, Bhumi is also deeply engaged in community service.
