Aahana Jain

In the past, he worked at a robotics startup Everestlabs.ai, where he builds robotic solutions for the recycling industry. Ajinkya Naik

Ajinkya Naik is a BSc Physics graduate from Abasaheb Garware College, University of Pune, and has recently graduated with a MASt in Theoretical Physics from the University of Cambridge. His research interests are now shifted towards exoplanet astronomy, and he plans to pursue a PhD in this field, with the long-term goal of contributing to cutting-edge observational and computational exoplanet science. Outside academics, he plays the harmonium and guitar, enjoys listening to Indian Classical Music, and also engages in sports like cricket, football and swimming.

Akshat Rathi

Akshat Rathi was awarded the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Scholarship to pursue research in organic chemistry at the University of Oxford. After completing his PhD, Akshat became a journalist and worked at The Economist and Quartz. Currently, Akshat is working as Senior Reporter for Climate at Bloomberg News. His work has won numerous awards, including the Overseas Press Club award and as a finalist twice for the prestigious Loeb Award. In 2023, he published his first book Climate Capitalism, which made it to the book of the year list for The London Times and The Economic Times.

Akshay Mandan

Anahita Mehta

Darshan Shah is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he heads the ‘BiOME’ lab established to further research and teaching in Biomechanics, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Engineering. With a strong background in engineering design, coupled with an avid interest in human anatomy, he delves into understanding the functioning of the human body from an engineering perspective, in close collaboration with surgeons, clinicians and the medical industry. Darshan is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, where he graduated with a dual degree (BTech, MTech) in Mechanical Engineering. Vishnu Prasad is a PhD candidate at the Department of Geography and Environment, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has worked with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) on strengthening the housing, land, and property rights of stateless Rohingya communities in Myanmar. He has previously engaged with the Urban Research and Development Institute (URDI) and UN-Habitat based in Yangon, Myanmar. Before switching to urban planning, Vishnu worked on issues of financial sector regulation and social security for the unorganized sector at the IFMR Finance Foundation. He holds a Masters’ degree in City Planning and International Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Integrated Masters’ degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.

She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Economics with a specialization in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics, for which she was awarded the NSF scholarship in 2020, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. Before starting her PhD, Vrinda worked as a consultant with the World Bank for three years and as a pre-doctoral researcher at École Polytechnique. Her research focuses on the economics of water and climate change, examining how environmental degradation, particularly changes in water quality, affects households and local economies in developing countries.

After completing his Masters, Yash plans to work in the US to develop his startup idea and gain more experience.
