Aaditya holds a BA.LLB degree from National Law University, Delhi, and is now currently pursuing a Bachelor of Civil Law course at the University of Oxford. Post his Master’s, he plans to return to litigation practice and academic writing in India. In the long run, he aims to join the judiciary in India by appearing for the state-held higher judicial service examinations. Aaditya also has a degree in Hindustani Vocals and Harmonium. Abhijeet completed his BE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune and his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University with a specialization in robotics. He has previously interned at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and subsequently at Godrej & Boyce Pvt Ltd in 2018. Currently, he is a Robotics Software Engineer at Realtime Robotics, Inc. In the past, he worked at a robotics startup, where he builds robotic solutions for the recycling industry. He hopes to return to India to pursue his ambition of developing products and services which can have a lasting impact on the lives of people.

Abhilasha Sinha Harvard Business School MBA

Abhilasha is currently the Chief Marketing and Product Officer at Open Secret. Previously she was the Chief of Staff at Hike, India. Prior to this, she worked as VP of Strategy and Operations at Elucidata, a Delhi & Cambridge based startup, building an AI-enabled platform for the biopharma industry to enhance drug development and as an Associate of Innosight, a strategy & innovation consulting firm advising Fortunate 100 clients in the healthcare sector. Earlier in her career, she was part of the founding team of Avanti Learning Centres, where she built and led teams across products and operations to deliver high-quality and affordable math and science programs across the country. She graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi.

Abhinav Sekhri

Abhinav Sekhri Harvard Law School LLM

Abhinav has done his LLB from National Law School of India University, Bangalore where he graduated with Honours and completed his LLM from Harvard University. After completing his graduate studies he returned to India to teach and practice criminal law and procedure. Abhinav also runs a blog called ‘The Proof of Guilt’, which discusses issues of Indian criminal law and procedure in a simple and accessible manner to help create awareness. Besides the law, he loves to read fiction and history, listen to music and play football.

He moved back to Hong Kong a few years back into his current role as a quantitative trader, researching and implementing quantitative investment and trading strategies, at Citadel Securities.

Agneya Loya

Agneya Loya Stanford University MS in Sustainable Design and Construction

Agneya is currently working as a Product Manager at Dusty Robotics in the San Francisco Bay Area building robot-powered tools for the modern construction workforce. In this role, he co-owns all product management responsibilities for the robot software, tablet software, web application and data analytics product verticals. Before this experience, he gained an understanding of the American construction industry by working at two large national contractors – Clark Construction and DPR Construction. Agneya completed his Bachelor in CEE from IIT Bombay and Master in CEE from Stanford University. Agneya is passionate about product development, robotics, education and the environment. Akshat Rathi University of Oxford PhD in Organic Chemistry

Akshat Rathi was awarded the NSF scholarship to pursue research in organic chemistry at the University of Oxford. After completing his PhD, Akshat became a journalist and worked at The Economist and Quartz. In 2018, he won the “Journalist of the Year” award given by the Drum in the UK and he was a finalist for the John B. Oakes award for distinguished environmental journalism given by Columbia University in the US. He is now a Senior reporter for Climate at Bloomberg News,a global business publication.

Akshay Mandan The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania MBA and MA in International Studies

Akshay completed his MBA from The Wharton School and MA in International Studies, from The University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Post MBA, Akshay joined Amazon in Seattle and currently works with the International Expansion team, focused on launching Amazon in new geographies. Akshina Mehta has a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with excellent grades from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She has also undergone training in renowned organizations like the National Facility of Biopharmaceuticals, the R&D Department of Bharat Serums and Vaccines, Jaslok Hospital and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Alok completed his dual degree in Mathematics and Computing from IIT Kharagpur in 2009. He followed that with Masters’ program in Language Technologies at Carnegie Mellon University, School of Computer Science. On completion of his course, he worked at Apple Siri for nearly 3 years. He then co-founded Harmony, a blockchain company in Silicon Valley in 2018. He is now the Founder/CEO of a Healthcare AI startup. Amrutanshu Dash

Amrutanshu is a dual-qualified lawyer, qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales as well as an Advocate in India. He is currently a member of a global law firm’s (Allen & Overy) International Arbitration group, and is based in the firm’s Singapore office. Anahita Mehta

Arjun is currently working as a Process Engineer at Bakerhicks, Basel. A Computer Science engineer from IIT Bombay, Ashwin Paranjape completed his Masters’ in Computer Science with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and PhD at Stanford in Natural Language Processing in the subject area of conversational systems. Darshan Shah is an Assistant Professor at the Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Bombay, where he heads the ‘BiOME’ lab established to further research and teaching in Biomechanics, Orthopaedics and Musculoskeletal Engineering. Rohit Pandharkar, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Masters in Media Technology

Rohit earned his BTech in Electronics & Telecommunication from College of Engineering, Pune. He went on to complete the Masters’ course in Media Technology, Media Lab at MIT and received the Starting Bloc Fellowship and the Center for Future Storytelling Fellowship. During his days in grad school, he founded the MIT Media Lab India Initiatives. He was later handpicked out of MIT by Anand Mahindra to join the Mahindra Group. Sachin Jog

Sachin Jog ETH Zurich MSc in Process Engineering

Sachin, originally from Pune, completed Bachelors’ in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, in May 2019. During his Bachelors’ course, he completed three internships and also co-authored a review paper for risk assessment in the chemical industry. He joined the Process Engineering MSc course at ETH Zurich in September 2019, where he completed a semester project and the Masters’ thesis in the fields of Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), respectively. He is now pursuing a PhD in the Sustainable Process Systems Engineering Lab at ETH Zurich, his research field being the application of machine learning and hybrid modelling techniques in chemical engineering. Shailee is a university gold medalist from NITK, Surathkal. She completed her PhD in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research was based on the intersection of machine learning and computational neuroscience, specifically focusing on language processing in the brain. She is currently a Research Intern at Google and has previously frequently collaborated with their research and Intel research, and organized the workshop on ‘Context & Compositionality in biological and artificial systems’ at NeurIPS’19. Shashank Nitundil is a Quaternary scientist interested in the changes of past climates and its effect on landscape and biodiversity. Vishnu was also engaged in UN-Habitat’s first comprehensive mapping of informal settlements in Yangon, Myanmar. Before switching to urban planning, Vishnu worked on issues of financial sector regulation and social security for the unorganised sector at the IFMR Finance Foundation. He holds a Masters’ degree in City Planning and International Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Integrated Masters’ degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras.

Vrinda Sharma

Vrinda Sharma Paris School of Economics Masters' in Public Policy and Development

Vrinda is an economics graduate from Kirori Mal College, Delhi and has completed her Master’s in Applied Economics with a specialisation in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics. She is currently working with École Polytechnique as a researcher. She has previously worked as a research intern under Prof. Karen Macours, an esteemed agriculture economist for her projects with CGIAR (a global agriculture think tank) as well as a research assistant under Professor Francois Libois for his projects determining the impact of Community Forest Management in Nepal. She also worked at the World Bank as a Research Assistant at the Africa Gender Innovation Lab. In future, she wants to be a social entrepreneur in the field of financial literacy. Vrinda did an on-ground study of the Open Defecation Free (ODF) status of Ghaziabad city under the Swaccha Bharata Abhiyan program for Niti Ayog. Her research article co-authored with the then Deputy Advisor of the rural development vertical of Niti Ayog, Mr Padma Kant Jha, was published in the journal of the ‘International Conference on Solid and Liquid Waste Management and was also published by Springer Nature in the book titled ‘Solid Waste Policies and Strategies: Issues, challenges and case studies.

Yash Gupta Carnegie Mellon University Masters in Computer Science and Machine Learning

Yash is currently at Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a Masters’s in Machine Learning as he feels their strong research culture and interdisciplinary initiatives will further his efforts in Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) domains. He completed his B.Tech Computer Science with an Artificial Intelligence Minor student at IIT-Bombay. His long-term goal is to start an Education-technology company that will work on AI systems to reduce human tutors, in education. During High School, he was a recipient of the Bronze medal in the Asian Physics Olympiad and a Gold Medal in the International Junior Science Olympiad.

Yash Malviya

Yash Malviya Stanford University MS in Electrical Engineering

Yash graduated from Stanford University with a Masters’ in Electrical Engineering. He is currently working with Apple Inc. Cupertino, as a hardware engineer in Power team at their Silicon Electronics Group (SEG). His work focuses on optimizing power for digitally designed sub-blocks in Apple’s chips.
