Akila is a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (Honors) in Economics from the Madras School of Economics, Chennai, and is now headed to London School of Economics and Political Science to pursue MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics. She is interested in questions related to economic development, innovation, and institutions, and hopes to build a career in economic research and policy advisory work. Beyond academics, Akila has been learning Sanskrit since childhood and has taught the language and given talks on Sanskrit texts. She enjoys reading, learning the flute, and spending time with classical music.
