Sayan is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at Harvard Law School and holds a BA- LL.B. (Hons.) from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Prior to joining Harvard, he served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) at the Supreme Court of India. He is passionate about litigation and dispute resolution and, upon returning to India, intends to practise as an arguing counsel before the constitutional courts. Beyond the law, Sayan is connected with various social impact initiatives. He co-founded the Stronger Kolkata Initiative, a non-profit organisation focused on improving access to education and supporting relief efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sayan is also a professionally trained tabla player and enjoys sprinting, playing football, and squash.
