Vatsal

Vatsal recently graduated with a dual degree (BS-MS) in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He is now headed to the University of Cambridge to pursue a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Over the past few years, he conducted research in theoretical physics at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, where he developed a deep interest in mathematical physics and chose to pursue it further. He has presented collaborative work at leading conferences, including Strings 2023, String-Math 2024, and Strings 2025. He has already published a paper in theoretical high-energy physics, with several more in progress. Vatsal’s long-term goal is to become an independent researcher and join the faculty at a leading research institute in India. In his spare time, he enjoys reading non-fiction—both academic and accessible—on topics such as history, politics, sociology, and anthropology, and occasionally engages in creative writing.
