Shashwata graduated with distinction from BITS Pilani in 2018 with a major in Chemical Engineering. Following graduation, she pursued research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras under the guidance of Prof. Pushpavanam. Her work on the self-assembly of inorganic nano-crystals was selected for presentation at Elsevier’s International Colloids Conference in Sitges, Spain and was awarded second place in the poster-presentation competition at AIChE’s ChemPlus-’19 at IIT, Madras. At UC San Diego, she completed MS in Nano Engineering on materials research geared towards semiconductor-device fabrication and development. Currently she is working as Research Engineer at Saint Gobain, Chennai.
