Sachin was awarded the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Scholarship to pursue MSc in Process Engineering from ETH Zurich where he completed a semester project and the Masters’ thesis in the fields of Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), respectively. He is now pursuing a PhD in the Sustainable Process Systems Engineering Lab at ETH Zurich, his research field being sustainable chemical process design using surrogate modelling, multiobjective optimization, and process scheduling. Sachin, originally from Pune, completed Bachelors’ in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, in May 2019. During his Bachelors’ course, he completed three internships and also co-authored a review paper for risk assessment in the chemical industry. He has also completed German language training upto level B2.
