Kamalpreet is a PhD candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany. She was awarded the Bonn-Cologne Graduate School Scholarship in 2022 to pursue her master’s degree in astrophysics from University of Bonn. Her career as an astrophysicist took a clear direction thanks to the courses offered. She has already contributed to numerous studies, including those involving the Sun, black holes, and radio astronomy. She is now focusing on how magnetic fields impact the galaxy evolution using data from the MeerKAT Radio Telescope. She enjoys reading books and watching films and shows. She also has a passion for academic pursuits. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the President of the Physics Society and is currently a dedicated volunteer for Astronomy on Tap, a German initiative aimed at popularizing astronomy among the public.
