Kamalpreet is completing her Master of Science degree in astrophysics at
the University of Bonn in Germany and is an incoming PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany. She was awarded the Bonn-Cologne Graduate School Scholarship in 2022 to pursue her master’s degree. Her career as an astrophysicist took a clear direction thanks to the courses offered. She has already contributed to numerous astrophysics related studies, including those involving the Sun, black holes, and radio astronomy. She is now focusing on radio imaging and radio interferometry to discover pulsars in the Galactic Center and study the variability of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy. She enjoys reading books and watching films and shows. She also has a passion for academic pursuits. During her undergraduate studies, she served as the President of the Physics Society and is currently a dedicated volunteer for Astronomy on Tap, a German initiative aimed at popularizing astronomy among the public.
