Jostin Dcosta

Dr. Jostin Vinroy DCosta is a materials science researcher specializing in flexible and wearable optoelectronic devices. He completed his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne in France, where he focused on developing ultra-flexible organic photodetectors and advanced thin-film encapsulation systems. He is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the same institute, working on the fabrication and integration of sensors for next-generation wearable technologies.
His broader experience spans cleanroom microfabrication, nanomaterial and polymer processing, device integration, and electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing. Earlier in his career, he contributed to MEMS-based gas sensor development at IISc Bangalore on an ISRO-funded project, flexible OLED process development at IIT Kanpur, and iron-oxide nanoparticle research at IIT Guwahati. He has published in high-impact journals, presented internationally, and received academic fellowships and awards. Beyond research, he enjoys debating and quizzing.
