Janardhan is a 2007 Narotam Sekhsaria scholar. He earned his MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2013. Thereafter he worked as a scientist at Argonne National Laboratory (Chicago) for five years, where he led efforts to apply supercomputing and machine learning to rapidly optimize product design. From 2018-2023 he was an Engineering Manager at Cummins Inc. (Columbus, Indiana), developing cutting-edge engine and powertrain products. He moved to Bangalore with his wife and daughter in June 2023 to lead his family’s wastewater treatment business, Ecotech Engineering, where he is an Executive Director. Janardhan is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
