Eeshani is a Research Scientist at the GE Aerospace Research Center in Niskayuna, NY working on developing materials for commercial aircraft engine applications. She earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2022 at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, under the guidance of Dr. David Poerschke. During her PhD, she worked on developing hightemperature ceramic coatings used for jet engines and gas turbines. The American Ceramic Society awarded her the 2024 Morgan Medal and Global Distinguished Doctoral Dissertation Award, and the 2021 Graduate Excellence in Materials Science (GEMS)-Diamond Award for her research. She has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. Her work at Institute of Chemical Technology on improving water and detergent usage efficiency for household laundry machines under the supervision of Dr. P.K. Ghosh was awarded an Indian patent. Eeshani is an avid reader, a Bharatnatyam dancer, and enjoys travelling.
