Archana was awarded the scholarship to pursue Masters in Biomedical Engineering from John Hopkins University. Post her Masters, she is currently a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering from John Hopkins University. She graduated with a Bachelors’ degree in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University Vellore with second rank in University and was awarded VIT’s Merit scholarship during all 4 years of her engineering program. She was a part of a project on “Development of Artificial Pancreas for Type 1 Diabetes Patients in India” at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. She aims to combine her engineering skill set with computational techniques for developing affordable diagnostic devices. She believes that her motivation to serve the society will drive her towards achieving her goal of “timely diagnosis of diseases for all”.
