Ajinkya Naik is a BSc Physics graduate from Abasaheb Garware College, University of Pune and is heading to University of Cambridge to complete his MASt in Theoretical Physics. He has worked on significant projects with the Aryabhata Research Institute of Observational Sciences, Nainital, and the University of Cambridge, focusing on black holes and gravitational waves. In 2016, he won second prize in NASA’s Space Settlement Contest in the individual category. Post-Masters, Ajinkya plans to pursue a PhD, with the long-term goal of working as a scientist at the Laser Interferometer GravitationalWave Observatory (LIGO) in India. Outside of his academic pursuits, he plays the harmonium and guitar, enjoys listening to and singing Indian Classical Music, and also engages in football and swimming. Ajinkya also expresses his creativity through writing short stories and poems.
