Gokul is currently pursuing his PhD in Materials Science at the Pennsylvania State University. He completed his BE(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from BITS, Pilani, and his Masters by Research in Metallurgy and Materials Science from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His interests lie in materials synthesis and is currently focused on semiconductor materials. Post his PhD, he wants to work in R&D or at national labs in the USA. He would eventually like to contribute to science policies related to clean energy. He likes photography, table-top RPGs, and console gaming and he is passionate about Formula 1 racing as a sport.
