Chinmayi completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore. She secured an All India Rank of 9 on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Biotechnology in 2019. Along her professional journey, Chinmayi has gained valuable experience working with leading biotech research organizations, both in industry and academia, including ITC, Unilever, inStem, and CytomX Therapeutics. In 2023, she defended her thesis in the immuno-oncology research area and graduated with Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. Currently, she is an Associate Scientist in the Metabolic Diseases team at Insitro in South San Francisco, California. Chinmayi is driven by the vision to develop innovative, affordable therapeutics and position India as a leader in global drug discovery. Outside of her professional pursuits, she is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist and Kathak dancer, with a passion for travel and public speaking.
