Chinmayi completed her BE in Biotechnology from BMS College of Engineering. She secured an All India Rank of 9 on Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Biotechnology in 2019. She worked as a Research Associate with Unilever R&D before engaging in a research internship at Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine, both in Bangalore. She interned at CytomX Therapeutics in South San Francisco during the summer 2022, where she developed a keen interest in cancer biology. For her thesis research, she is working on immuno-oncology at the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine, San Diego. After successfully defending her thesis in immunooncology research area, Chinmayi graduated with a Master of Science in Bioengineering from University of California, San Diego in 2023. Currently, she is an Associate Scientist in the Metabolic Diseases team at insitro in South San Francisco, California. Her vision is to develop novel, affordable therapeutics and put India on the global map in drug discovery. Chinmayi is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist and Kathak dancer. She enjoys reading, public speaking, and traveling.
