Barun completed his undergraduate studies at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, graduating with a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with a departmental specialization in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence, and his Master’s in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently working at Microsoft as a Senior Applied Scientist. Previously, he was a part of the Turing team at Microsoft as an Applied Scientist that focussed on building multilingual models to support different scenarios in numerous languages. He’s been a Teaching Assistant for Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University, and Artificial Intelligence at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, and enjoys teaching, reading, and playing racquet sports.
