Sachin was awarded the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Scholarship to pursue MSc in Process Engineering from ETH Zurich, which he successfully completed in 2021. He defended his PhD in September 2025 at the Sustainable Process Systems Engineering Laboratory, ETH Zurich, where his research focused on the design and optimization of sustainable chemical processes and supply chains. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich. Originally from Pune, Sachin earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai in 2019. He has also completed German language training upto level B2.
