Vrinda Sharma

Vrinda was awarded the scholarship to pursue Master’s in Applied Economics with a specialisation in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics. She is currently pursuing PhD in Economics from Paris School of Economics and also working as Consultant with The World Bank. She is an economics graduate from Kirori Mal College, Delhi and has completed her Master’s in Applied Economics with a specialisation in Public Policy and Development from the Paris School of Economics. She has also worked as a research intern under Prof. Karen Macours, an esteemed agriculture economist for her projects with CGIAR (a global agriculture think tank) as well as a research assistant under Professor Francois Libois for his projects determining the impact of Community Forest Management in Nepal. She also worked at the World Bank as a Research Assistant at the Africa Gender Innovation Lab. In future, she wants to be a social entrepreneur in the field of financial literacy. Vrinda did an on-ground study of the Open Defecation Free (ODF) status of Ghaziabad city under the Swaccha Bharata Abhiyan program for Niti Ayog. Her research article co-authored with the then Deputy Advisor of the rural development vertical of Niti Ayog, Mr Padma Kant Jha, was published in the journal of the ‘International Conference on Solid and Liquid Waste Management and was also published by Springer Nature in the book titled ‘Solid Waste Policies and Strategies: Issues, challenges and case studies.’
