Rishika Mehavaram is a B.Tech graduate in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli and is heading to University of Pennsylvania to complete her MSE in Materials Science and Engineering. She gained valuable research experience as a Research Assistant under Dr. Daolun Chen at Toronto Metropolitan University, Toronto, Canada, through a prestigious MITACS Globalink Research Internship in 2023. A distinguished scholar, Rishika is a two-time recipient of the OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarships (OPJEMS). After completing her Masters, Rishika aspires to work in the metal battery and sustainable energy industry. Her long-term goal is to contribute to the R&D sector, focussing on developing advanced energy storage devices for critical and commercial industries such as aviation. In her personal time, Rishika enjoys listening to Western music and reading historical fantasy books. She is also an avid sports enthusiast, actively playing basketball, throwball, and badminton.
