Dr. Manasi Sharma is currently working as Research Consultant with UNICEF East Asia and Pacific Regional Office (EAPRO), Bangkok, Thailand . She was a Visiting Scientist with Harvard T.H.Chan School of Public Health. She pursued her Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Department of Emergency Medicine, Brigham & Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. She is a Doctor of Science (Sc.D) from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, where her research encompassed mixed-methods studies of trauma and mental health in South Sudan, Liberia, Somalia, and Sierra Leone; increasing adherence to antiretroviral treatment for HIV+ adolescents in Rwanda; and impact evaluations of hospital systems strengthening programs in Liberia. She has Masters’ in clinical psychology and human rights law, and her research interests include global mental health, complex interventions in humanitarian contexts, child and adolescent health, psychiatric epidemiology, psychometrics, human-centered design and medical anthropology.
