Kishen Kudur Shastry

Kishen was awarded NSF scholarship to pursue an MPhil in Economic Research from Cambridge. He is currently pursuing PhD Economics at the University of Cambridge post his MPhil as well as working as a research assistant at the University. In addition, he also holds an Economics degree from The Graduate Institute Geneva, where he was a Hans Wilsdorf Foundation scholar. Kishen was awarded a full scholarship to pursue Liberal Studies at Ashoka University as a Young India Fellow. He holds a Computer Science undergraduate degree from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. He was also sponsored by The Fund for American Studies to attend the Asian Institute of Political Economics at Hong Kong University. Kishen’s long-term goal is to contribute towards politics and public policy discourse in India. His subject interest lies in the intersection of economics and development policies. He is a regular participant in international conferences and writes for journals focussing on these subjects. He has previously worked at the investment bank Credit Suisse.
