Charu is currently a Medical Officer at the US FDA (Food and Drug Administration). She previously worked as an Attending Nephrologist at Children’s Women’s Hospital, US where she also held an additional role of ‘Fellowship Program Director’ and guided future generations of nephrologists. She was also an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine. Charu has received certifications from the American Board of Pediatrics in the field of Pediatric Nephrology, General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. After completing MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, Charu joined Harvard School of Public Health, to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on health care management and policy. She now lives close to Washington DC with her husband and two kids. In her free time, Charu enjoys cooking Indian food, dancing to Bollywood tunes, travelling and spending time with her family.
