Charag is a Partner with McKinsey & Company in the New Jersey office and a leader in the Education Analytics Domain team. His work is focussed on helping clients improve student outcomes and develop sustainable business models through strategy, operational turnarounds, and analytics. He served institutions across the spectrum of education – universities, impact investors, non-profits, governments, and philanthropic foundations. Charag taught grades 2 and 3 at a low-income municipal school in Pune, India, as part of the founding cohort of Teach for India, was involved setting and scaling up India operations of Generation, a non-profit focussed on youth employment founded by McKinsey Social Initiative. He has been a UNICEF Innovation Unit Fellow and currently serves on the Boards of Teach for India U.S. and Mantra4Change US. He graduated with an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management as a Young Scholar, Tata Scholar, N a r o t a m S e k h s a r i a S c h o l a r , a n d D e a n ‘ s A w a r d r e c i p i e n t . Charag holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology, Bhopal. Charag writes and speaks extensively on topics of education having delivered keynotes and panels at multiple global conferences and conferences-authored an HBR case study on Teach for India.
