Archis Mukhopadhyay

Archis is a recent Physics graduate from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata and is headed to ETH Zurich to pursue his Master’s in Physics. His academic journey includes research at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), where he modeled spectra of young stellar objects, and as a DAAD-WISE fellow at the Galaxies and Cosmology Theory group at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, working on galaxy evolution using large-scale cosmological simulations. Archis aims to pursue a PhD in exoplanetary science, with a long-term vision of contributing to India’s research ecosystem as a scientist and educator. Outside academics, he is a trained violinist, has participated in science outreach initiatives, and enjoys playing badminton.
