Amrutanshu is a dual-qualified lawyer, qualified as a Solicitor of England and Wales as well as an Advocate in India. He is currently an Associate in A&O Shearman’s International Arbitration group based out of Singapore. He advises and represents private clients, sovereign states and state owned entities in international commercial arbitrations, investor state arbitrations and related court litigations in the Asia Pacific region and beyond. Amrutanshu has also worked as a disputes and arbitration lawyer in India, during which time he focussed on commercial law and constitutional law disputes across various judicial forums including the Indian Supreme Court, and the High Courts of Delhi and Bombay. Amrutanshu completed his undergraduate law degree from the National Law University, Delhi. He graduated as the overall topper with ten gold medals from his undergraduate programme. Following this, he received a full scholarship to complete his master of law degree (BCL) from the University of Oxford. At Oxford, Amrutanshu graduated with an overall distinction and the Law Faculty Prize for topping the Intellectual Property law paper.
