Jayant was awarded the scholarship to pursue MRes in Regenerative Medicine from University of Bath and completed his Masters with distinction and was awarded a Certificate of Merit. He also received the Marie-Curie Fellowship to pursue doctoral research in cancer and stem cells at the University of York. Following a research stint, he started an academic clinical career, where he aims to continue basic research along with a clinical medical career. His work focuses on cancer evolution and designing new treatments. Currently, he is a clinical lecturer and an oncologist at University College London. He has also completed postgraduate diploma in Oncology and Cancer Biology from University of London and MBBS with distinction from Grant Medical College, Mumbai.
