Karan has completed his bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication from PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh. He has worked with Nomura for two years as a software developer. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a master’s degree in Computer Engineering. He is currently working as a senior staff engineer at Visa Technology and Operations in Foster City, California. He is working on Identity and Behaviour Analytics in the Cybersecurity division. Previously he worked as a senior engineer at Cisco System in San Jose, California. Being a part of the WAN Orchestration team, he has received numerous recognition awards for his phenomenal work on Smart Licensing development. He implemented the Cisco Crosswork Network Automation suite, which provides real-time network optimization, allowing operators to effectively maximize network utilization as well as increase service velocity. He worked on Crosswork Optimization Engine, which fulfills the need for a closed-loop optimization to help automate bandwidth optimization and efficiently steer traffic with little operator intervention.
