Akshina Mehta has a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with excellent grades from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. She has also undergone training in renowned organizations like the National Facility of Biopharmaceuticals, the R&D Department of Bharat Serums and Vaccines, Jaslok Hospital and Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. After her Master’s in Integrated Immunology at Oxford University, she worked at University College London (UCL) Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine and worked on developing a disease model for type 1 diabetes. After which she
worked in the capacity of a Research Fellow at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in the field of developmental biology and disease modelling in Zebrafish model organisms. She moved to Toronto, Canada in April’ 20 looking to connect with alumni and members of the foundation there. Currently she is the founder of Raisson D’etre.
