Shefalika completed MSc in Economics (2015-16) from London School of Economics and Political Science and subsequently worked as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow at the Treasury in Vanuatu (2016-18). She worked as a Senior Analyst at the New Zealand Treasury on macroeconomic and fiscal policy issues (2019-23). She is presently working at the Bank of England on macroprudential policy.
