Vishnu Prasad

Vishnu Prasad is a PhD candidate at the Department of Geography and Environment, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He has worked with the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) on strengthening the housing, land, and property rights of stateless Rohingya communities in Myanmar. He has previously engaged with the Urban Research and Development Institute (URDI) and UN-Habitat based in Yangon, Myanmar. Before switching to urban planning, Vishnu worked on issues of financial sector regulation and social security for the unorganized sector at the IFMR Finance Foundation. He holds a Masters’ degree in City Planning and International Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an Integrated Masters’ degree in Economics from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
