Vatsal is a Computer Science graduate from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT-G). and is now headed to Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) to pursue Master of Science in Machine learning (MSML). Currently he is working as a Quantitative Analyst Researcher at AlphaGrep Securities. He has collaborated with CMU on 3D microscopy reconstruction, with the University of Pennsylvania on evaluating language model robustness, and with Imperial College London on anomaly detection for carbon capture. His long-term goal is to bridge the gap between statistical AI models and reliable real-world systems. Vatsal was placed in the global top 5 at the Pravega Decoherence competition (science and cultural festival) organized by IISc Bangalore. He is an avid basketball player.
