Aniket Murhekar is currently a Masters' student studying Theoretical Computer Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he also works as a Teaching Assistant. He intends to pursue his PhD at Illinois which is being fully funded by the university. He graduated with B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT-Bombay. His research work has been published at international conferences and his work while interning at Adobe has received a US patent. Aniket likes swimming, reading about philosophy and mythology, and classical Marathi songs. He is also passionate about teaching.
Anirudh is currently pursuing Chemical Engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology and will be pursuing PhD in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. He is a recipient of Mrs SG Marve Award at ICT and he has also interned at University of Kentucky. He is a co-founder of ASHA, an app created to help individuals and address mental issues around COVID-19 and was awarded €5000 in HackTheCrisis competition organised by MyGov and MHRD and published in Economic Times. He is also an avid debater and a math fanatic who has published his research in a reputed conference (AIAA SciTech).
Chahat is a final year student at IIT-Delhi pursuing Mathematics and Computing. He is heading to Columbia University to pursue Masters in Computer Science. On completion of his Masters, he intends to pursue in PhD specialising in Theoretical Computer Science, Quantum Computing and Theoretical Machine Learning. Chahat's career goal is to be a professor and give back to the society through scientific advancement. He has worked on fuzzy computing. His hobbies are coin collection and philately.
Daattavya is a final Physics student at IIT-Roorkee and is now headed to the University of Oxford to pursue Masters' in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics. He intends to pursue a PhD in physics and work as a researcher in the future. Daattavya's research interest lies in the intersection of quantum gravity and quantum information. He has participated in several robotics and quizzing competitions. He enjoys reading and listening to music.
Harshit is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the Institute of Chemical Technology and is currently working as a Project Engineer with a firm based in Mumbai. He will be pursuing his Masters' degree in Process Engineering from ETH Zurich. After graduation, he wants to continue doing a PhD with a focus on decarbonisation. Harshit's ambition is to start a firm and lead India towards a defossilised and carbon-neutral economy. He enjoys playing badminton, jogging and watching movies.
Jostin Dcosta has a post graduate degree in Chemistry from Mangalore University and currently working at the National Centre for Flexible Electronics, IIT-Kanpur as Senior Research Associate. He is heading to Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (EMSE), University of Lyon, France to pursue PhD in Ultra-Flexible Organic Oxymeter (UFOO). His dream is to pursue PhD and post doctorate in his field and start a lab in India eventually. Jostin has also worked at ISRO and has published an article on H2S gas detection sensors. He enjoys debating and quizzing.
Kartik is currently completing his graduation in Engineering Physics at IIT-Bombay and will be pursuing (Masters' of Advanced Studies) MASt in Applied Mathematical & Theoretical Physics from University of Cambridge. He is very passionate about Quantum Field Theory and intends to pursue a PhD in the same field. He has undertaken several undergraduate research projects at Yale, Harvard and Hiroshima University. Kishen Kudur Shastry
Kishen is a postgraduate economist from The Graduate Institute Geneva, where he was a Hans Wilsdorf Foundation scholar. He is now headed to the University of Cambridge to pursue MPhil in Economic Research and continue with PhD in Economics. Kishen was awarded a full scholarship to pursue Liberal Studies at Ashoka University as a Young India fellow. He holds a Computer Science undergraduate degree from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. He was also sponsored by The Fund for American Studies to attend the Asian Institute of Political Economics at Hong Kong University. Kishen's long term goal is to contribute towards politics and public policy discourse in India. His subject interest lies in the intersection of economics and development policies. He is a regular participant in international conferences and writes for journals focusing on these subjects. He has previously worked at the investment bank Credit Suisse.
Manoj Kumar Mahto
Manoj is a Biology postgraduate from Pondicherry University and completed his undergraduation in Zoology from Delhi University. He is an aquaculture consultant with CPF India in Kakinada. Manoj intends to pursue his Masters' in Tropical Marine Biology from University of Essex and post completion wants to do a PhD focusing on marine microplastic. His career goal is to be a Professor at Primer Institutes of India. His master thesis abstract has been selected for the International Indian Ocean Science Conference-2020 and also waiting for response from Elsevier for the publication of his work. Manoj enjoys carrom, football, sketching and is a regular swimmer and deep diver.
Mukund is a B.Tech Computer Science graduate from Manipal Academy of Higher Education and worked as a software development engineer with Amazon Indian Development Centre. He is currently preparing pursue Masters' in Health Data Science from Harvard University. In future he wants to work on technology that will enable improved access for minority stakeholders in healthcare and better primary care. Mukund has won several inter-college quiz competitions. He also likes swimming, playing badminton and writing.

Ram Smaran is a final year Economics student from Shiv Nadar University and is now headed to the London School of Economics to pursue Masters' in Economics. Vrinda is a final year Economics student at Kirori Mal College, Delhi and wants to pursue a Masters' in Public Policy and Development from Paris School of Economics. In future, she wants to be social entrepreneur in the field of financial literacy. Vrinda did an on-ground study of Open Defecation Free (ODF) status of Ghaziabad city under the Swaccha Bharata Abhiyan program for Niti Ayog. Her research article co-authored with the then Deputy Advisor of the rural development vertical of Niti Ayog, Mr Padma Kant Jha, was published in the journal of the ‘International Conference on Solid and Liquid Waste Management’ and was also published by Springer Nature in the book titled ‘Solid Waste Policies and Strategies: Issues, challenges and case studies'.
Yashaswini is a final year Economics student from St.Stephen's College, Delhi and is now headed to University of Bonn to pursue MSc in Economics. Her passion is research and wants to do a PhD in Economics in the long run. She has worked as a research assistant for Dr Megha Patnaik and Dr Jeff Hammer for their paper titled "Who speaks for the Poor? Participatory Democracy in rural India" which uses World Bank data to analyse how closely preferences of Gram Panchayat members match with those of households in rural Karnataka. She also received the Goutham Krishna fellowship from Stephen's College to conduct research from an economic perspective on caste discrimination in Northern India and has written a paper on the behavioral problem associated with the Monty Hall Problem, which was published in Miranda House's journal Aapoorti (2020 edition). Yashaswini has a keen interest in theatre, having won the award for best actress in Intra- Rajpal, St. Stephen's college; is a state level tennis player and also a Visharad in Hindustani Classical Music.
Aditya is currently a final year Masters' student at Stanford University in the department of Mechanical Engineering. His major interests lie in deep-learning, experiment design and analysis, mechatronics and analysis of Formula-1 races. He likes to devote time to the projects to tackle global issues like energy, climate, etc. with engineering. After graduation, he would like to explore his options and gain exposure in the industry. He likes to go for a swim or hang out with friends in free time.
Anusha is pursuing a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities. Through her work, she aims to be able to convert low-grade waste heat to electricity using phase transformations in ferroelectric materials. She hopes to build on the skills learned during her doctoral degree to increase the accessibility of technology and to improve the standard of living around the globe. Through her work in the industry, Anusha hopes to lead the revolution for design that offers both quality and affordability to further the cause of sustainable growth. She is also an avid reader.
Arjun is currently pursuing a Masters' in Chemical and Bioengineering at ETH Zurich and graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology in 2019. His short-term goal is to work in innovative research groups that solve ubiquitous real-world problems. Eventually he aspires to assume leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies such as 3M or DOW, where he intends to lead efforts towards achieving leaner operations and reducing their environmental footprint. He scored a perfect 340/340 in the GRE which is a rare feat and has been named a prestigious Alfred Werner Scholar by the Swiss Chemical Society.
Bhargav completed his B.Chem Engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai and is currently pursuing Masters' in Chemical and Bioengineering at ETH Zurich. His long term goal is to be an entrepreneur and set up his own industry from scratch. The sectors he would like to explore are the production of value added compounds from agricultural goods or the biopharmaceutical development sector, both of which are comparatively underdeveloped in India. He is an avid reader, and uses books as a means of learning about different subjects, especially literature, history and philosophy.
Hardik Patil is currently enrolled in the MSE in Structural Engineering program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and has recently completed his B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB). As a part of his undergraduate thesis, he worked on 'Hurricane induced surge and wave forces on bridge decks' and is currently pursuing career opportunities in Bridge Design & Analysis. He has also worked on various projects like Soil Moisture Mapping using P-Band radiometer in the past. As a mentor under the Department Academic Mentorship Program at IITB, Hardik was responsible for helping students with difficulties ranging from language barriers to academics to extra-curricular endeavours and liaising with faculty advisors to help underperforming students clear backlogs. Additionally, he served as the Media head of the Entrepreneurship Cell of IITB, a student-run organization which aims at promoting an entrepreneurial mindset among the Indian youth through various events and competitions. During his free time, he likes to indulge in photography, reading, movies and cooking.
Kriti graduated with a Bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay and worked with IDG Ventures India (now called Chiratae Ventures) as a part of the Investment Team. She is currently pursuing MBA from Harvard Business School. She has also been an active member of various technology groups through college and beyond. After completing her Masters' at Harvard, she plans to get hands on experience of building technology products in the US for a while and then return to India. Her long-term goal is to start her own company in India. She hopes to bring insights from her experience in the US back to India to help create new business opportunities.
Maithili graduated from National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) with a B.A. LL.B.(Hons.) degree in 2017. In addition to the several impressive publications and internships in India and abroad, after graduating, she served as a judicial clerk at the Supreme Court of India under Justice DY Chandrachud, where she assisted on landmark cases including among others the right to privacy as a fundamental right under the Indian constitution, the constitutional validity of euthanasia and living wills, the constitutionality of Section 377 IPC, the constitutionality of the Aadhaar project and the Sabarimala Temple case for allowing entry to women. She is currently pursuing her LL.M. at Harvard Law School, where she is focussing on strengthening her theoretical foundations and exploring interdisciplinary areas to develop a holistic understanding of law and social change. Her primary areas of interest are constitutional law, human rights law and access to justice.
Monil hails from New Delhi and graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce with a BA (Hons) in Economics 2015. She enjoys macroeconomics and finance, and also pursued actuarial science along with her degree. After working with Deutsche Bank post graduation, she joined Central Square Foundation in 2016, where she took up various roles as a Program Manager. Her work focused on government-focused education projects in Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, supporting the strategic expansion of the foundation and venture philanthropy for early stage non-profits. She got accepted for her Masters' at Stanford and Harvard, and has joined Stanford given its focus on entrepreneurship and social impact. Post Masters', she wants to come back to India, working in impact investing in the short term and eventually becoming a social entrepreneur. She is also passionate about food - she loves cooking and writing culinary blogs, and is currently doing a project for a global food start-up, Deliveroo.
Namrata Maheshwari graduated with BA., LL.B. (Hons) from Jindal Global Law School in 2016 where she was a recipient of the Shallu Jindal Scholarship for Outstanding Women and Savitri Jindal Studentship for Meritorious Students. In 2016-17, she was an Associate in the General Corporate team of Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, Mumbai, following which she spent two years litigating at the Gujarat High Court within the realm of civil laws. She is currently pursuing LL.M. at Columbia Law School, New York, with a focus on technology law and policy. Namrata is a keen researcher and writer and has published articles on various socio-legal topics. Her goal is to create an impactful career at the intersection of technology and democracy, and work towards strengthening free speech, data privacy, security and access in the digital era. Namrata has been a national level badminton player and is passionate about photography, reading and yoga.
Prateek holds a graduate degree in B.Tech Production and Industrial Engineering from IIT Roorkee. He worked as a Senior Research Analyst with McKinsey & Company and currently pursuing MBA from London Business School for his Masters' in Business Administration. Prateek is clear and focused on his future goals on returning to India after completing his Masters' and working with McKinsey. Outside work, Prateek actively contributes in NGOs working towards solving for learning disabilities, youth unemployment and bhopal gas tragedy rehabilitation. Because of his projects, he was amongst the youngest selected as One Young World ambassador from India.
Prathamesh completed his Bachelors' in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune (COEP) in May 2019. During his 2nd year at COEP, he was selected for the Siemens Student Program, under which he worked in the Switch-gear digital factory at Siemens, Mumbai in the domain of industrial automation and robotics. He did a summer intern at Flytbase - an autonomous drones start-up in Pune. His interests lie in developing intelligent computing systems by leveraging the power of AI in edge computing devices. In addition to working on multiple projects during his Bachelors', he served as the Technical Head at the COEP Amateur Radio Club and has also presented his paper on human posture recognition at the IEEE 8th International Advance Computing Conference. He is currently pursuing his Masters' degree in Computer Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a view to enhance his knowledge and contribute towards developing intelligent autonomous systems that shall help improve our quality of life.
Pratyush completed his B.Tech in Engineering Physics from IIT-Madras. He is currently pursing his MSc in High Energy Physics which is a joint master’s degree from ETH Zurich and Ecole Polytechnique, Paris. He would like to pursue a PhD after completing his Master’s and be a part of a research group. Pratyush has worked as an undergraduate Research Assistant at the Institute of High Energy Physics, China. He has travelled to China for his Bachelors' Thesis Project ‘Amplitude Analysis of D-meson decay modes’. His project at CERN was instrumentation based where he worked with the ATLAS Collaboration on the calibration techniques involved in the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter.
Preksha is currently a Masters' student at Yale University, studying International and Development Economics. She completed her undergraduate studies in Economics from Hans Raj College, Delhi University and worked as an Associate at Bain & Company for two years before heading to Yale. Preksha’s interest lies in using data to provide innovative solutions to socio-economic problems faced by developing countries, and through her work, she would like to catalyze the shift to evidence-based policymaking. She is currently working on evaluating the impact of the alcohol prohibition policy in Bihar; her earlier projects include the analysis of inflation trends in the Indian rural-urban context, and a report on the state of infrastructure in India. Outside of academics, she dabbles in music, enjoys coffee and finds time to go trekking in the Himalayas.
Rishabh graduated in B. Tech Mechanical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He has assisted and led studies in social policy and economics in the last few years. He has conducted on-ground research on Public Distribution System, National pension schemes and most recently the Pani Bachaao Paise Kamaao scheme, a Government of Punjab project which aimed at transfer of monetary entitlements to farmers based on the electricity saved. Rishabh is currently purusing MSc in Economics for London School of Economics (LSE) and intends to pursue PhD after graduation. He is an avid film-enthusiast and has extensively participated in various film making, quizzing and appreciation events across New Delhi.
Ritwick Chaudhry is currently pursuing a Masters' in Computer Science at the Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated from IIT Mumbai with a degree in B.Tech (Hons.) in Computer Science & Engineering in 2018. He has worked at Adobe Research for a year, with focus on understanding semantics of visual content. Being broadly interested in the field of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, he has worked in visual question answering and 3D reconstruction, with 7 publications in top conferences and 3 filed patents. He is currently working with Prof. Katerina Fragkiadaki on improving how machines perceive the 3D world around us, and is soon heading to work at the Uber Advanced Technology Labs to make autonomous driving vehicles a reality. Ritwick aims at pursuing a PhD, with the eventual goal of improving how machines comprehend the world around us visually.
Sachin, originally from Pune, completed Bachelors' in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai, in May 2019. During his Bachelors' course, he completed two internships at the National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune and one at Thermax Ltd., also co-authoring a review paper which surveys several traditional and modern techniques for ensuring safety, preventing hazards, and for risk assessment in the chemical industry. He joined the Process Engineering MSc course at ETH Zurich in September 2019, where he is currently working on courses as well as the semester project. He will also be doing an internship and the Masters' thesis as part of the course. He has also completed German language training upto level B2. Sachin intends to join the chemical industry after the completion of his Masters' degree program.
Shashwata graduated with distinction from BITS Pilani in 2018 with a major in Chemical Engineering. Following graduation, she pursued research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras under the guidance of Prof. Pushpavanam. Her work on the self-assembly of inorganic nano-crystals was presented at Elsevier's International Colloids Conference in Sitges, Spain and was awarded second place in the poster-presentation competition at AIChE's ChemPlus-'19 at IIT, Madras. At UC San Diego, she is pursuing materials research geared towards semiconductor/biomedical-device fabrication and development.
Utkarsh completed his undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay and is now pursuing a Masters' in Structural Engineering at the University of California Berkeley.After graduation he may want to pursue his interests in research either in the industry or academia which has influenced his choice of University. Utkarsh was a visiting researcher at Purdue University and worked with the research group on steel-concrete composites. He loves reading fiction, autobiographies, historical accounts and news snippets. A fitness enthusiast, he has won several medals in aquatics and is also a regular runner.
Varun completed his B.Tech Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi. He is currently pursuing an MS in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. Post his Masters' he aims to obtain a Doctoral degree and do state of the art research in the following subfields of Electrical Engineering i.e. information theory and deep learning, in a way that meaningfully impacts human lives. He has been a recipient of the Merit Award for all semesters at IIT Delhi and the Qualcomm Research Innovation Fellowship.
Abhijeet has done his BE in Mechanical Engineering from Sinhgad College of Engineering, Pune. Following his graduation, he worked as a Research Intern at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay under the guidance of Dr. Rakesh Mote. He also worked as a project trainee with Godrej & Boyce Pvt Ltd in 2018. He plans to pursue Master's in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and aspires to gain a global exposure and work on the latest technology before returning to India to pursue his ambition of developing products and services which can have a lasting impact on lives of people.
Aditya is graduating from College of Engineering Pune (COEP) with a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering. When he was selected for the prestigious Viterbi-India Summer Research Program 2017, he worked on swarm robotics under the mentorship of Dr. Nora Ayanian at the University of Southern California. Under the Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science, he contributed to two Japanese exchange projects - a diet advisor Android application and an extended reality car driving system. He is a member of COEP's satellite team (CSAT), which designed and manufactured India's first passively stabilized satellite 'Swayam'. In this project, he was responsible for developing algorithms to determine Swayam's orientation in real time and is now working on control algorithms for CSAT's second upcoming satellite. He plans to pursue his Master's in Computer Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to further his dream of creating powerful, time saving, easily accessible technology so that people will have more time for true value addition.
Amit graduated with a gold medal for being first in order of merit from College of Engineering, Pune in 2017 with a degree in Metallurgy and Materials Science Engineering. He is pursuing his Master's in Materials Science from ETH, Zurich. His long term goal is to be a researcher in the field of materials science in an academic setting.
Anupam is a published author with more than 15 peer reviewed publications and 25+ citations. He earned Bachelor's in Engineering (Hons) degree from BITS Pilani (Pilani campus) in 2013. He also holds a certificate on Missile Technology from Defense Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune. After completing his graduate studies, he joined Indian Institute of Science (IISc) as a Research Scientist in 2014. At IISc, he was a part of the multi-institutional effort which included BrahMos Aerospace, IITs, BARC, DRDO and ISRO to develop ultra-high-temperature materials and structures for aerospace, energy and defense sectors. Anupam is pursuing Post Graduate Programme in Management from the Indian School of Business and leading 'Kalpana Innovations' co-founded by him. In the long run, he yearns to spearhead the development of eco-friendly and affordable technologies for helping energy, automation and biomedical sectors meet the sustainability goals set by United Nations.
Archana graduated with a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering from VIT University Vellore. She was the second rank holder in University and was awarded VIT’s Merit scholarship during all 4 years of her engineering program. She was a part of a project on "Development of Artificial Pancreas for Type 1 Diabetes Patients in India" at IISc, Bangalore. Archana is keen on pursuing her Master's in Biomedical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. Upon completion of her Master's, she wants to work in computational biomedicine. She aims to combine her engineering skill set with computational techniques for developing affordable diagnostic devices. She believes that her motivation to serve the society will drive her towards achieving her goal of “timely diagnosis of diseases for all".
Devina is a graduate from National Law University, Delhi. She seeks to pursue her Master of Law (LLM) at the University of Cambridge. After LLM, she intends to return to India to teach and research in the area of constitutional and criminal law. In law school, she worked as a researcher for the Death Penalty Research Project carried out by National Law University, Delhi. Upon graduation, she has worked as Law Clerk cum Research Assistant with Justice Kurian Joseph at the Supreme Court of India. Through her Master's education abroad, she hopes to acquire a nuanced understanding of her areas of interest and use the same to constructively contribute to the Indian legal system.
Gorish graduated from IIT Delhi with Bachelors' in Electrical Engineering and is currently working as a senior software engineer in the Next Gen. Research team at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, India. He pursued a research internship in INRIA, France during which, he developed a real-time, end to end, brain-computer interface for post-stroke neuro-rehabilitation. He has co-authored 2 research publications and has filed 5 patents in multiple countries. He is a recipient of multiple awards such as KVPY, NTSE, Charpak scholarship, Samsung Citizen Award and was a Gold medalist at INPhO, INChO, and INJSO. He will join the EE Master's’ program at Stanford with specialization in Biomedical Devices, Sensors & Systems track. Post MS, he sees himself working towards developing healthcare systems in the field of Neuroscience and translating his research to market as a product, with an aim to improve life quality for patients with neurological disorders.
Noopur has completed her graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce with a B.A in Economics (Honours) and is now heading to Harvard University for a post graduate combined degree in law and public policy (i.e. Juris Doctor & Master in Public Administration in International Development). Through a joint degree, she wants to forge a career that exploits instruments from both disciplines to attain a deeper understanding of why inequalities come to be and to improve policy responses – both in conception and execution. Upon graduating, she wants to work in international law and domestic policy. In the long run, she aspires to work within Indian government to envision and enact evidence-informed policy towards the goal of a more equal society.

Prineeta has completed an Integrated Master's degree in Biotechnology from the Institute of Bioinformatics and Biotechnology, Pune. She further attended the Young India Fellowship at Ashoka University in 2015, where she earned a post graduate diploma in Liberal Studies and graduated at the top of her class. She will be pursuing the MBA program at Harvard Business School with a focus on general management and healthcare. Rahul Singh Chauhan
Rahul has completed his undergraduate studies in Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata and is heading to London School of Economics to pursue his Master's in Economics. Barun has done his under-graduate studies from IIT, Delhi where he graduated with a B.Tech in computer science and engineering with a departmental specialisation in Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence . He is now going to Carnegie Mellon University to pursue a Master’s in machine learning. He has earned merit in data analytics and artificial intelligence along with being in the top 7% in 4 semesters at IIT Delhi. Eeshani has completed her undergraduate studies from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. She is going to pursue a fully funded PhD in Chemical Engineering specialising in catalysis from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She has previously completed a research project for BPCL by modelling operating conditions for a catalyst. Her recommendations are under consideration. She has also worked on a group project aimed at reducing fresh water and fresh detergent consumption in household laundry washing machines at ICT and has filed a patent for the same. After her PhD, she would like to start her own industrial consultancy and an affiliated chain of laboratories, equipped with cutting edge technology, that are accessible to graduate students as well. Darshan Shah is a postdoctoral researcher in biomechanics, combining his background in engineering design with his interest in human anatomy to understand how joints of the body function. He currently works at the Institute for Orthopaedic Research and Training at KU Leuven, Belgium, where he focuses on quantifying the behaviour of the knee and the ankle joints, before and after surgical interventions.
Darshan completed his PhD in Bioengineering at Imperial College London, where he developed a wrist simulator - a machine which could replicate motions of the normal wrist in dead specimens. Prior to this, he worked on a novel implant design for lower-limb amputees during his MSc at Imperial College London and patented a customized total knee arthroplasty implant for the Indian population during his dual degree (B.Tech, M.Tech) at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. She is currently Associate Vice President - Career & Performance Management and Internal Communications at Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces where she is responsible for designing and driving core Talent Management processes and launching and developing existing communications channels to strengthen the corporate culture. Anahita has completed her MSc in Audiological Science at University College, London. After graduating in 2010 with a distinction, she worked as a research assistant at the Medical Research Council (MRC) Institute of Hearing Research in Nottingham. She then joined a PhD programme in Auditory Neuroscience for which she received the UCL Overseas Research Schoalrship as funding for all three years. She has now completed her PhD at University College London and is working at the University of Minnesota as a Postdoctoral Associate.

Jyoti is also the founder of SynTalk, a freewheeling interdisciplinary talk show with a philosophical approach to understanding the world from a long term perspective. She has conceived the show & the platform and drives pre-production research, episode prototyping, episode design and technology-led dissemination. SynTalk has released 86 episodes since 2014 & have hosted SynTalkrs from a multitude of disciplines. She is committed to creating a unique globally recognized platform for original long term conversations & thinking across disciplines.
Rohit earned his BTech in Electronics & Telecommunication from College of Engineering, Pune. He went on to complete the Master’s course in Media Technology, Media Lab at MIT and received the Starting Bloc Fellowship and the Center for Future Storytelling Fellowship. During his days in grad school, he founded the MIT Media Lab India Initiatives. He was later handpicked out of MIT by Anand Mahindra to join the Mahindra Group. He now leads new business development at Mahindra’s Cleantech business. Presently Rohit heads the Asia Pacific Business for a Google Ventures funded startup in Mobile apps space called “HeadSpin”.
Sagnik was awarded the NSF Scholarship to study Master’s of Science in Computer Science at Stony Brook University in New York. He has worked at Sportvision in Mountain View, California. He is currently working at Volkswagen's research lab.

Sneha was awarded the NSF scholarship in 2009 for a MS in
Biotechnology from John Hopkins University. After completing the programme in Dec 2010, she worked at the Neurology Department at John Hopkins. In August 2011, Sneha joined a PhD program in Neuroscience at Stony Brook University, where she is currently working on her thesis project on Adult Neurogenesis in the Hippocampus.
After finishing her M.Sc in Economics from St Stephen’s College in Delhi, Sreyashi did a summer internship at the Centre for Civil Society and was part of a Public Policy Think Tank for two months. She has completed her MSc Economics (2 year programme) from LSE. At present, Sreyashi is working in Fixed Income Research at Credit Suisse.
Tejas Yadav, Ph.D. was awarded the NSF Scholarship to pursue a M.Sc. in Biology (Integrative Bioscience) from the University of Oxford, UK in 2009. In 2011, he joined Weill Graduate School of Cornell University, New York, USA for a PhD program in Molecular Biology. He carried out his doctoral thesis research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre, New York. In 2017, he joined Institut Curie, Paris as a postdoctoral researcher.
A B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering from Anna University, Vinod completed an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin- Madison on a distinguished graduate fellowship.
Aditya joined Stanford University to pursue his Master’s in Financial Mathematics. After his course, he started work as a Trader with J.P. Morgan in Hong Kong, focusing on Asian markets. Last year, he moved to London to trade European equity indices.
Akshat Rathi was awarded the NSF scholarship to pursue research in organic chemistry at the University of Oxford. After completing his PhD, Akshat worked at The Economist and the Royal Society of Chemistry. He is now a science and health reporter for Quartz, a global business site from The Atlantic.
Ankeeth graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with Master’s in Aerospace engineering and Master's in Computer science. He is currently working in Cummins Inc, Columbus, Indiana and is involved in design and performance testing of next gen Heavy duty and High horse power injectors. He was also instrumental in setting up fuel systems engineering labs in Pune, India and Wuhan, China.
A B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Anupriya joined the Master’s programme course in Finance and Economics at the London School of Economics (LSE) with a full scholarship from LSE. She is currently working in a managerial position with one of the Big 4s in Australia as a transfer pricing economist.
A B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication from NIT, Karnataka, Bharan has worked as Design Engineer with Texas Instruments. He went on to complete his Master’s in Electrical Engineering (VLSI) and followed it up with a PhD at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Bharan has done an internship at Research & Advance Development Labs at AMD in Colorado. He is currently working at Apple Inc., Cupertino CA in the Hardware Design Group that makes iPhones and iPads.
After completing M.B.B.S from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, Charu joined Harvard School of Public Health, to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health. She is currently working with Children’s National Medical Center, as a Pediatric Nephrology Fellow and has received certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. Charu in an avid debater and has also served as the VP - Communications of the Social Enterprise in Health Group at the Harvard School of Public Health. She is now an Assistant professor in Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine after completing her fellowship.
Devang completed his Master’s in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. After graduation he joined Oracle America working on cloud in a box data solutions, developing distributed high-performance storage servers. He returned to India in 2015 and is currently working at a fintech startup in Bangalore.

Jayant completed his MBBS with distinction from Grant Medical College, Mumbai. He then joined University of Bath where he completed his MRes in Regenerative Medicine with distinction and was awarded Certificate of Merit. He also received the Marie- Curie Fellowship to pursue doctoral research in cancer and stem cells at the University of York. He is now a post-doctoral fellow at King’s College London, where he is investigating transcriptional and epigenetic regulation of haematopoietic and leukaemic stem cells. He aims to develop an integrated clinical and stem cell research based facility for degenerative diseases and cancer management in Mumbai.
A B.Tech in Polymer Engineering & Technology from ICT, Kushal joined the Master’s programme in Polymer Engineering at the University of Akron and has graduated in 2010. He is interested in polymer processing which involves the analysis and design of various processing operations.
Raunak was awarded the NSF Scholarship to complete his Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University, New York. He later joined Sabre Airline Solutions, an airline technology company. Raunak is currently working at Amazon, in their Seattle headquarters, as a Senior Research Scientist. He builds mathematical models and algorithms to crunch Big Data and improve Amazon’s business efficiency, profitability and customer experience.
After completing his Computer Science graduate studies at Stanford in data mining and systems, Roshan went on to work at LinkedIn where he helped build out some of the early data products and infrastructure. His passion for education pushed him to join Coursera, where he currently leads engineering aspects of the partner products.

Treta completed her Master’s in Public Health from Bloomberg School of Public Health, John Hopkins University. Treta has received the NY Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She has various papers published on primary biliary cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel diseases. She will be joining the Santa Cruz Medical Group in California as practising Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist. She was also recently approved for EB2 status in the U.S. highlighting her work as an extra ordinary researcher who has made significant contributions to gastroenterology, hepatology and internal medicine.
A B.E. in Instumentation & Control from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology at Delhi, Vidya went on to complete a Master’s Programme in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Vidya then joined Luton Electronics as a Senior Project Electrical Engineer. Currently she is serving there as a Design & Development Engineer.

He then joined the PhD programme in Biological Sciences at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City.
Chandresh has completed his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University, New York University. He has received the Dean’s Research Scholarship for all the semesters. He has also published two books and a journal paper on his Master’s Research Thesis. After the completion of the course Chandresh joined Beltran Technologies, a design company where he now works as the Principal Design Engineer.
An alumnus of the prestigious St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi, Harshet graduated from the University of Oxford with a Master’s in Mathematics and Computers. He has worked with Merrill Lynch, Boston Consulting Group and Endeavor Global prior to joining Milvik (a Swedish startup involved in providing micro insurance in emerging markets through a mobile platform) where he is currently serving as the Country Director (Indonesia).
Janardhan obtained his MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA in 2013. During his PhD, he interned at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and Robert Bosch LLC. Thereafter he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Argonne National Laboratory near Chicago. He is currently a staff member at the Center for Transportation Research at Argonne, and leads the effort on applying supercomputing to designing advanced internal combustion engines for cleaner and more fuel efficient cars. He actively presents his research at various national and international conferences and journals. He was awarded the Argonne Pacesetter Award in December 2016. Also, he got married in August 2016.
Kartik pursued a Master’s in Micro-Nanosystems from ETH Zurich. Subsequently, he completed his PhD in implantable medical devices at the Multi Scale Robotics Lab, ETH Zurich in June 2013. After working at MSRL till the end of 2013, he became one of the first employees in the quality engineering division of the newly formed medical device company, DePuy-Synthes, at Basel. He is currently a medical device expert working at Novartis Pharma in Basel.
Shreya graduated with a BA in Economics and Statistics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She was then admitted to the University of Oxford, where she completed her Master’s in Financial Economics. After graduating, Shreya worked at a boutique consultancy specializing in corporate finance. She is currently based in London and works on the investment team at Partners Group, a global private markets asset manager headquartered in Switzerland.
Sudeep Tandon was awarded the NSF scholarship to pursue a Master’s programme in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. He was the recipient of the Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2009. After graduating in March 2009, he joined Deutsche Post DHL In-house Consulting in Germany as a Management Consultant. He currently works as Global Head of Airfreight Solution Design at DHL.
Tushar finished his undergraduate studies in India. He holds an engineering degree from IIT Roorkee. Since 2007, he is settled in the United States. He holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Cornell and worked for several years in Management Consulting. In 2016, he decided to go back to school again. He is currently pursuing a Juris Doctorate and MBA from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Vignesh completed his Master’s in Computation for Design and Optimization from MIT, Cambridge. He joined RGM Advisors LLC after completing the course in 2009. He works as a Quantitative Researcher responsible for developing trading algorithms.
Hardik was awarded the NSF scholarship to study MS in Operations Research from the University of Cornell. Having completed the course in the year 2007, he also received the best Master’s of Engineering project award in the same year for his exuberant project on School Bus Routing. A B.E. in Computer Science, Padmini worked as a Research Assistant at IIT Bombay before she went on to do a Master’s programme in Computer Science from Stony Brook University. Akshay is currently the Chief Product Office and Senior Vice President of Product at nearbuy. He is responsible for defining and driving product vision, strategy and execution at nearbuy. Akshay is a Silicon Valley veteran with over 10 years of experience in the consumer internet and technology space. He spent close to 7 years at Google where he worked on initiatives ranging across Global Computing Infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform, Analytics and Social. Prior to joining nearbuy, Akshay served as the Director of Mobile Product at Flipkart where he led the product development across Flipkart’s consumer facing Mobile Applications through its exponential growth phase in the two years 2014-2015.
